Roadside Assistance Program
Standard Insurance Emergency Assistance (SIEA) Roadside Assistance Program (RAP) provides access to towing and other services in case of electrical or mechanical breakdown or accidents of the covered vehicle. The Roadside Assistance services are given to all Standard Insurance Beneficiaries with Comprehensive Insurance Policy subject to provisions of the program.
Duration of Coverage
The duration of the assistance services shall be for One (1) year during the policy period. The commencement date of the assistance shall coincide with the Comprehensive Policy of the Covered Vehicle.
Covered Vehicles
The vehicle designated in the insurance policy provided that:
• The Vehicle is not utilized for public transport of passengers or goods, whether for hire with or without a driver.
• The Vehicle’s Curb Weight does not exceed Three Thousand Five Hundred (3,500) kilograms.
• The Vehicle is not more than Fifteen (15) years old.
• Special inclusion applies to big bikes or sport bikes with engine displacements of not less than 400cc.
• Special accommodation is granted for Kia Panoramic, Mitsubishi L 300 FB body, aluminum type vans, drop side vehicles, ambulance type units, and similar models, subject to the following provisions:
• Usage must be limited to private, family, or business purposes.
• Coverage shall fall under the Private Car Policy or Commercial Vehicle Policy.
• The vehicle must be empty of goods or passengers (non paying) at the time of assistance.
• If the vehicle is determined to be too large for the available tow truck, the Beneficiary may secure the services of another service provider, subject to prior authorization from Standard Insurance. Reimbursement shall be accommodated for such authorized cases.

Coverage under the Assistance Services is strictly limited to the administrative regions and provinces enumerated below:

Vehicle Assistance
1. Towing Assistance
If the covered vehicle becomes immobilized due to electrical or mechanical breakdown, or because of an accident, SIEA team shall arrange for its towing and transport to the nearest accredited repair facility. Coverage is limited to a maximum of Five Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (₱ 5,500.00) per event. Any towing costs more than this benefit limit shall be borne by the Beneficiary.
2. Removal and Towing Assistance
In the event of an accident where the covered vehicle is rendered a total wreck or has fallen into a ravine, SIEA team shall arrange for its removal using a crane and transport to the nearest accredited repair facility. Coverage is limited to a maximum of Fifteen Thousand Pesos (₱ 15,000.00) per event.
3. Minor Onsite Repair
Refers to basic roadside assistance services performed at the location where the covered vehicle is immobilized, without the need for transport to a repair facility. Coverage is limited to a maximum of Five Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (₱ 5,500.00) per event except otherwise indicated. These services are limited to simple, non‑extensive tasks intended to restore mobility or address minor issues such as:
3.1 Battery Boosting or Jumpstart
If the covered vehicle fails to start due to a battery problem, SIEA team shall dispatch a technician equipped with a battery booster and boosting cables to perform on‑site battery boosting. Upon request, SIEA team may also refer the Beneficiary to the nearest accredited battery store or distributor.
3.2 Replacement of Flat Tire
If the covered vehicle sustains a punctured or damaged tire resulting in loss of air pressure, SIEA team shall dispatch an accredited technician to replace it with the vehicle’s good spare tire.
3.3 Delivery of Emergency Fuel
If the covered vehicle runs out of fuel, the Beneficiary may request SIEA team to procure and deliver fuel onsite, subject to an agreed maximum number of liters. The cost of the fuel shall be borne by the Beneficiary and reimburse the service technician upon delivery of the fuel.
3.4 Locksmith Service
If the Beneficiary is unable to access the covered vehicle because the key has been locked inside, SIEA team, subject to the Beneficiary approval, shall dispatch a locksmith to open the vehicle door and shall cover the locksmith’s labor charges and travel expenses.
Important: If the covered vehicle cannot be opened by a locksmith due to advanced security features or modern keyless entry systems, the service shall be subject to the locksmith’s evaluation and approval.
3.5 Delivery of Spare Key
In cases wherein the Beneficiary is unable to access the covered vehicle due to the keys being locked inside, stolen or lost, SIEA team shall, subject to the Beneficiary’s approval and coordination with the designated spare key holder, retrieve the spare key from the Beneficiary’s home or office and deliver it on‑site.
3.6 Misfuelling Cover (cleaning and draining of fuel tank)
If the covered vehicle is loaded with the incorrect type of fuel such as unleaded fuel being accidentally pumped into a diesel vehicle, or vice versa, SIEA team shall cover up to Three Thousand Pesos (₱ 3,000.00) for the cleaning or draining of the fuel tank.
3.7 Key Protection Cover (key replacement)
In the event of key loss or theft involving the covered vehicle, the Service Provider shall cover the cost incurred by the Beneficiary for key replacement, up to a maximum of Three Thousand Pesos (₱ 3,000.00).
Personal Assistance
1. Reimbursement of Accommodation or Travel Expenses
If the covered vehicle cannot be repaired within twenty‑four (24) hours due to breakdown and immobilization, the Beneficiary shall have the option to choose between the following:
1.1 Reimbursement of 3-days, 2-nigths hotel accommodation expenses up to Two Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (₱ 2,500.00) per night, maximum of Two (2) nights, or;
1.2 Continuation of Journey where the Beneficiary may choose between:
i. Transfer of the Beneficiary to the usual place of residence or to the original destination, provided that the distance from the place of breakdown to the original destination does not exceed the distance from the place of breakdown to the usual place of residence, and in any case where such distance is greater than 25 kilometers.
ii. Reimbursement of travel expenses, authorized or arranged by SIEA, to the place of planned destination, provided that the distance from the place of breakdown to the original destination does not exceed the distance from the place of breakdown to the usual place of residence, an in any case where such distance is greater than 25 kilometers.
2. Relay of Urgent Message
In the event that the Beneficiary requests assistance, SIEA team shall arrange for the conveyance of urgent or important messages relating to the matters stated herein.
3. Accident Response Coordination
In case of an accident involving the covered vehicle, and upon the Beneficiary’s request, SIEA team shall coordinate with the appropriate agencies (e.g., Police, TMG, MMDA) to provide assistance to the Beneficiary.
4. Coordination and Dispatch of Ambulance
In the event of an accident involving the covered vehicle, and upon the Beneficiary’s request, SIEA team shall coordinate the dispatch of an ambulance from the nearest hospital to the place of accident for the Beneficiary or other injured passengers of the covered vehicle. The cost of such ambulance services shall be borne by the Beneficiary.
5. Hospital Admission Assistance
In the event that the insured and/or passengers of the covered vehicle sustain injuries in a car accident, SIEA team shall provide necessary admission assistance upon the Beneficiary’s request.
6. Dispatch of Accredited Adjuster
In the event of an accident involving the covered vehicle, and upon the Beneficiary’s request, SIEA team shall coordinate and dispatch an accredited adjuster to the place of accident or to provide the Beneficiary with clear instructions on how to proceed in handling accidents, including major accidents, third‑party collisions.

The Roadside Assistance Program (RAP) under Standard Insurance Emergency Assistance (SIEA) for Motorcycles and Big Bikes is an exclusive program for Standard Insurance customers with Comprehensive Motorcycle Insurance Policies. Insured motorcycles and big bikes enrolled in the program can avail of towing services in case of electrical/mechanical breakdown or accident involving the covered motorcycle.
MOTORCYCLE ASSISTANCE
1. Towing of the Covered Motorcycle or Big Bikes
If the covered motorcycle or big bike is immobilized due to electrical or mechanical breakdown or accident, SIEA will bear the towing expenses up to an agreed limit of Five Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (₱ 5,500.00) and bring the motorcycle to the nearest accredited repair facility.
2. Removal (using Crane) and Towing of the Covered Motorcycle or Big Bike
If, while travelling on the road, the covered motorcycle or Big Bike becomes immobilized due to overturning or falling down a slope, SIEA team shall arrange for its removal and transport to the nearest accredited repair facility, subject to a maximum coverage limit of Fifteen Thousand Pesos (₱ 15,000.00).
3. Delivery of Emergency Fuel
If the covered motorcycle runs out of fuel, the Beneficiary may request SIEA team to procure and deliver fuel onsite, subject to an agreed maximum number of liters. The cost of the fuel shall be borne by the Beneficiary and reimburse the service technician upon delivery of the fuel.
4. Key Protection Cover (key replacement)
In the event of key loss or theft involving the covered motorcycle, SIEA team shall cover the cost incurred by the Beneficiary for key replacement, up to a maximum of Three Thousand Pesos (₱ 3,000.00).
The Standard Insurance Emergency Assistance Roadside Assistance Program (RAP) for Trucks and Buses is an exclusive program for Standard Insurance customers with Commercial Vehicle Policies. Insured trucks and buses enrolled in the program can avail of towing services in case of accident involving the covered vehicle.
AVAILMENT ARRANGEMENT:
· Reimbursement Basis Only (strictly with prior authorization)
COVERED VEHICLES:
The vehicle designated in the insurance policy provided that:
1. The trucks / buses are not more than Ten (10) years old.
2. The trucks / buses have the following provisions:
· Usage - Private or Corporate Use
· Vehicle is empty of goods/persons (non-paying) during the assistance
VEHICLE ASSISTANCE
1. Towing/Recovery of the covered Truck/Bus
In the event that the covered truck or bus becomes immobilized due to an accident, SIEA shall reimburse the Beneficiary for towing expenses, up to a maximum of Two Thousand Pesos (₱2,000.00), to tow the vehicle to the nearest accredited repair facility, subject to submission of the original and valid service invoice.
2. Removal (using Crane) of the covered Truck/Bus
If the covered vehicle is rendered a total wreck or falls into a ravine due to an accident, SIEA shall reimburse the Beneficiary for removal and transport expenses to the nearest accredited repair facility, subject to a maximum coverage limit of Eight Thousand Pesos (₱8,000.00) per event and upon submission of the original and valid service invoice.
3. Relay of Urgent Message
In the event that the Beneficiary requests assistance, SIEA team shall arrange for the conveyance of urgent or important messages relating to the matters stated herein.
4. Accident Response Coordination
In case of an accident involving the covered vehicle, and upon the Beneficiary’s request, SIEA team shall coordinate with the appropriate agencies (e.g., Police, TMG, MMDA) to provide assistance to the Beneficiary.
5. Dispatch and Coordination with Accredited Adjusters Assistance
In the event of an accident involving the covered vehicle, and upon the Beneficiary’s request, SIEA shall coordinate and dispatch an accredited adjuster to the place of accident or to provide the Beneficiary with clear instructions on how to proceed in handling accidents, including major accidents, third‑party collisions.
SUBJECTIVITIES:
1. Availment of services shall be subject to schedule and tow truck availability.
2. Each enrolled truck or bus may avail of towing or recovery assistance for up to three (3) events per year, in case of accident.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE ASSISTANCE
1. Towing Assistance
If the covered Electric Vehicle becomes immobilized due to electrical or mechanical breakdown, or because of an accident, SIEA shall arrange for its towing and transport to the nearest accredited repair facility. Coverage is limited to a maximum of Five Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (₱ 5,500.00) per event. Any towing costs more than this benefit limit shall be borne by the Beneficiary.
2. Removal and Towing Assistance
In the event of an accident where the covered Electric Vehicle is rendered a total wreck or has fallen into a ravine, SIEA team shall arrange for its removal using a crane and transport to the nearest accredited repair facility. Coverage is limited to a maximum of Fifteen Thousand Pesos (₱ 15,000.00) per event.
3. Towing Service for Covered Electric Vehicle to the nearest Charging Station due to Depleted (0%) High Voltage Battery. Coverage is limited to a maximum of Five Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (₱5,500.00) per event. Any towing costs more than this benefit limit shall be borne by the Beneficiary.
4. Minor Onsite Repair
Refers to basic roadside assistance services performed at the location where the covered vehicle is immobilized, without the need for transport to a repair facility. Coverage is limited to a maximum of Five Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (₱ 5,500.00) per event except otherwise indicated. If the covered Electric Vehicle fails to start due to a low auxiliary battery problem,SIEA shall dispatch a technician equipped with a battery booster and boosting cables to perform on‑site battery boosting.
4.2 Replacement of Flat Tire
If the covered Electric Vehicle sustains a punctured or damaged tire resulting in loss of air pressure, SIEA shall dispatch an accredited technician to replace it with the vehicle’s good spare tire. This coverage does not apply to EV’s with run-flat tire technology as it does not come with spare tire.
4.3 Delivery of Spare Key or Key Card
In cases wherein the Beneficiary is unable to access the covered Electric Vehicle due to the key or key card being locked inside, stolen or lost, SIEA team shall, subject to the Beneficiary’s approval and coordination with the designated spare key holder, retrieve the spare key from the Beneficiary’s home or office and deliver it on‑site.
